Candy Lo to replace Cass Phang as the guest performer of Bobby McFerrin's concert on 10 February 2004

The Hong Kong Arts Festival is delighted to announce that female vocalist Candy Lo will be one of the guest performers of Bobby McFerrin's concert at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall on 10 February 2004. Cass Phang, who was originally scheduled to perform, had to withdraw from the concert due to her pregnancy.

Candy Lo is one of the most successful vocalists in Hong Kong since launching her solo career in 1997, after three years as the female lead vocalist of the band Black and Blue. Candy has caught the attention of both the media and general public with her unique talent and boundary-defying style. She has garnered numerous awards over the years and her albums have achieved successful sales record.

Guest performers of the Bobby McFerrin concert on 10 February also include jazz guitarist Eugene Pao, percussion duo Lung Heung-wing and Mark Lung and martial arts master Li Fai. The guest performers for the 9 February concert include male vocalist Eason Chan, erhu player Wong-Hiu Nam, St Paul's Co-Educational (MacDonnell Road) Primary School Choir, St Paul's Co-Educational (Kennedy Road) Primary School Choir and Jun Kung on vocals, drums and percussion. Both concerts are held at 8:00pm at Cultural Centre Concert Hall.

The 2004 Hong Kong Arts Festival will present a total of 111 performances, of 51 different programmes featuring 36 performing groups plus three exhibitions and four special outdoor performances, over 34 days from 3 February through 7 March 2004. Tickets are available at URBTIX outlets. Tickets for programmes performed at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Hong Kong Arts Centre are also available through HK Ticketing.
