New Arts Festival Executive Director

The Hong Kong Arts Festival Society today announced that the new Executive Director will be Ms Tisa Ho.
Tisa Ho grew up in Hong Kong and trained in arts management at the City University, London. Her previous professional experience in Hong Kong includes work with the Hong Kong Arts Centre, the Hong Kong Arts Festival and Radio Television Hong Kong.
She relocated to Singapore in 1984, where her media work included anchoring a Sunday Morning TV magazine and managing a new radio station. Her arts portfolios covered policy and infrastructure development, as well as marketing and curatorial responsibilities for the 1988 and 1990 Singapore Arts Festivals. She was General Manager of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra between 1991 and 1999, during which she helped to set up the Alliance of Asia-Pacific Region Orchestras. In 1993, she helped to conceptualise and launch the annual Singapore International Piano Festival, now in its 13th year. Tisa is also a prolific editor and author.
The Hong Kong Arts Festival Chairman Mr Charles Lee said, "We are very pleased about Tisa HO's appointment. She brings strong management and artistic leadership to the Festival. Our various audiences, supporters and the arts community have high expectations of the Arts Festival and we are confident that Tisa will deliver Festivals which meet our long tradition of high artistic standards and box office success."
Ms Ho will take up her new post in late April.
The current Executive Director Douglas Gautier said, "Tisa is someone with great professional skills and experience in the arts and the media. She brings to the Festival the right blend of arts and business expertise."
