The 41st Hong Kong Arts Festival 2013 Over 50% tickets sold during Advance Sales

Additional Performances Announced

(Hong Kong, 4 December 2012) The 41st Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF) once again had strong audience support selling over 50% of available tickets by the close of advance sales. With performances by Riccardo Muti and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in late January, the 41st HKAF will be staged in 16 different venues with the main part held over 30 days — from 21 February to 22 March. There are 145 performances in total, featuring 32 ensembles or solo artists from overseas and 17 from Hong Kong.

Additional Performances

Due to popular response, the HKAF is delighted to offer two additional performances: one of LEO on 3 March (3:00pm); and a performance of Blast on 9 March (3:00pm), adding up to a total of 147 performances.

The Top 10 Programmes

Based on the current number of tickets sold, the top 10 programmes include: American Ballet Theatre, Chinglish, National Theatre of Great Britain’s One Man Two Guvnors, San Carlo Theatre, Naples’ La Traviata, Momix Dance Theatre’s Bothanica, Riccardo Muti and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Einstein On the Beach, Esperanza Spalding – Radio Music Society, National Theatre of China’s Green Snake and Smear.

Booking Opens on 8 December 2012

Counter booking opens at 10:00am local time on Saturday 8 December at all URBTIX outlets. Tickets to performances at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts will also be available at all HK Ticketing outlets.
