The 42nd Hong Kong Arts Festival 2014 sold 50% of available tickets at advance sales. Booking Opens 7 December 2013

(Hong Kong, 4 December 2013) The 42nd Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF) once again had strong audience support selling 50% of 115,000 available tickets by the close of advance sales. Ticket booking opens this Saturday on 7 December 2013.

The Top 12 Programmes 

Based on the number of advance tickets sold, the top 12 HKAF best-selling programmes include: La Scala Ballet’s Giselle, Magic Piano & The Chopin Shorts, Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch’s Iphigenia in Tauris, Igor Moiseyev Ballet (Russia), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Savonlinna Opera Festival’s Lohengrin, 108 Heroes III, Gregory Porter, Mies Julie, London Symphony Orchestra, Ivan Fischer & the Budapest Festival Orchestra, as well as Scottish Ballet Matthew Bourne’s Highland Fling.

World’s top and emerging artists in 138 performances

The 42nd HKAF features 55 international and local ensembles or solo artists in 15 venues from 18 February to 23 March. There are 138 performances in total, two of which are free performances by the Trisha Brown Dance Company. Topping off the list of live performances, Festival PLUS offers audiences an exciting range of activities including film screenings, masterclasses, workshops, backstage tours that enhance their Festival experiences.

Booking Opens on 7 December 2013

Counter booking opens at 10:00am local time on Saturday 7 December at all URBTIX outlets. Tickets to performances at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts will also be available at all HK Ticketing outlets. Please refer to the below booking details:
