Cancellation of Gustavo Dudamel and Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra
of Venezuela Asian Tour,
including 2-6 Nov Hong Kong concerts


(Hong Kong, 13 October 2017)   Hong Kong Arts Festival regrets that Gustavo Dudamel and Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela are unable to undertake their Asian tour, including their performances in Hong Kong on 2-6 November 2017.

As a result of the tour cancellation, the “Changing Young Lives, One Note At A Time” Forum on 1 Nov, the “Musical Companions” open rehearsal on 4 Nov and community visits by SBSOV members will no longer take place. 

Hong Kong Arts Festival sincerely regrets the inconvenience to our audiences and participants caused by this cancellation. The Festival continues to believe in the important role that music education can play in society, and the power of music to change the lives of young people; this belief will continue to drive HKAF’s work in the future.

Concert ticket holder refund information

Patrons with tickets to the concerts on 2-6 November 2017 can obtain a refund using one of the following methods:

  • Download a refund form from https://go.hkaf.org/rform and return the completed form together with original concert tickets to the Ticketing Department, Hong Kong Arts Festival Society Limited. (*)
    OR
  • Bring the original concert tickets to the HKAF office and carry out the refund procedures in person (Room 1205, 12/F, 2 Harbour Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong; Monday to Sunday 10am–8pm).

The refund form and tickets should reach our office by or before 30 Nov 2017. Refunds will be made by crossed cheque and will take approximately one month to process from the date of receipt. For general enquiries, please call (852) 2824 2430 (Monday to Friday 9:30am–1pm & 2pm–5:30pm).
