The 47th Hong Kong Arts Festival Kick-off Press Conference was held on 9 October, announcing details on 166 performances and over 340 complementary outreach and education activities, featuring over 1,700 international and local artists.

The press conference was hosted by Prof. Kingman Lo, Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Arts Festival Society, Tisa Ho, Executive Director; and Grace Lang, Programme Director. Over 200 guests attended the press conference: journalists, representatives from the arts community, members of supporting and sponsoring organisations, and artists participating in the 47th HKAF.
